With Star Wars skipping San Diego Comic-Con this year — and The Last Jedi on the horizon this holiday — you just knew this weekend that everyone’s most beloved sci-fi franchise was going to bring down the House That Mickey Built.
And new Millenium Falcon Captain Rian Johnson and company did not disappoint.
Today, at D23 Expo 2017 in Anaheim, California, the Looper director showed off eye-swelling behind-the-scenes footage of the next chapter of Star Wars, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Peep the 3-minute BTS footage here, followed by a set of amazing posters–with one spotlighting everyone’s favorite cinematic princess general.
The follow-up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Domhnall Gleeson as Hux, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, and, of course, the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa.
