WOLFENSTEIN: YOUNGBLOOD (Arkane Studios/Machinegames/Bethesda Softworks – X1, PS4, PC, Switch – July 26, 2019) – Youngblood was first announced with a story trailer at E3 2018. Here, BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters, Jess and Soph, fight against Nazi’s in Paris during the 1980’s, as they search for their father. Not only did BJ put the twins through a vigorous training, but they must be bad-ass after the stunt their bare-breasted, fully pregnant mother pulled off at the end of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is intended to be a co-op game but there is an option to have an AI partner if you want to play solo. Bethesda announced that friends can play together with only one purchase of the Deluxe Edition. However, the person who doesn’t own the Deluxe Edition won’t be able to play solo or with others unless they upgrade to the full game. This feature is similar to A Way Out, except it’s not couch co-op.
Other than the Story Trailer up above, Bethesda hasn’t released any information on the spin-off since last year. Hopefully the mega pub’s conference at E3 2019 will showcase some gameplay trailers demonstrating how Wolfenstein plays as a co-op shooter.
