The next wave of David Nakayama’s striking COLOR BLOCK VARIANT COVERS arrives this April, bringing bold WHITE monochrome designs to comic shop shelves. Following last month’s RED-themed debut, the program continues with new covers spotlighting fan-favorite icons including Captain Marvel, Mystique, Wolverine, and more. One of the industry’s most in-demand cover artists, Nakayama has illustrated heroes and villains from nearly every corner of the Marvel Comics universe. With the Color Block series, he reduces each composition to a single dominant hue—matching the character and background—to create clean, graphic imagery designed to stand out on shelves. The initiative unfolds across three waves: February’s RED covers, April’s WHITE covers, and June’s BLUE covers, forming a patriotic red-white-and-blue trilogy.
