STARGIRL vs. HARLEY QUINN [DC FanDome]: Red, White and Whoo!

Jimmy “Apostolic” Cupp @thejimmycupp

Lea Thompson (Back To The Future, Director of Shiv:Part 1) leads the cast of Stargirl through a game of getting to know each other more with the creator, Geoff Johns, along with some fun information on the creation of the show. One little fun tidbit: Dragon King was originally going to be Cobra. I think it’s fun to think if this would have changed the story at all.

My other favorite little fact is that Brec Bassinger (Stargirl) was born the same month and year that the Stargirl made her first appearance in the DC Comics. She was born to play the role.

They follow these up with some fan questions where a couple of hints with next season are sprinkled in. Grundy will be back! Doctor Midnight (Anjelika Washington) may get Hootie. They only said maybe, or to quote Johns, “There is always a chance,” but I’m going to keep my hopes up for him. We, also, learn that we are definitely getting more Shiv Vs Stargirl moments.

They didn’t want to reveal too much, since they are just starting to work on the new season, but, considering how good season one was, I’m sure we will be getting some wonderful character arcs and some many more fun fights. All in all, this was a very charming panel. 3.5/5 Bibles.

I started up the Harley Quinn panel in hopes of getting some information, or even a hint that we might be getting a Season 3 of my favorite DC show, ever. They gave me nothing on this, which made me want to grab my mallet, but I stuck with it. Despite not having any news on the future of the show, it was still a fun watch.

The cast is such a joy, and you can tell they all love what they’re doing.

The panel opens up to introductions to our beloved cast. Kaley Cuoco (Harley Quinn), Lake Bell (Poison Ivy), Ron Fuches (King Shark), Matt Oberg (Kite Man), and Alan Tudyk (Joker) reminisce about their favorite moments and answer questions from fans around the world. Like the rest of us, their biggest surprise is that they let them get away with so much violence and cursing.

I will still be holding my breathe and praying for a S03, but I am not upset to have this fun look back at one of DC’s best projects to date. 3/5 Bibles.
