Call it a dysfunctional marriage made in functional heaven.
Tales from the Borderlands comes from the brilliant minds of Telltale Games, the same kick ass peeps who delivered us the riveting — and award-winning — The Walking Dead game and the more recent Wolf Among Us series (based on Bill Willingham’s Fables). If you know anything about that, then you know these tales will come in the form of episodes; $5 per trip to Pandora, or cheaper via season pass.
This morning, eager gamers finally get to catch their eye on the prize…
In addition to those pretty looks, we also snatched up some deets on our favorite Borderlanders, Claptrap, Tiny Tina, Angel, Moxxi, and Zer0:
- The loot you stumble upon can be used in others Borderlands games. What!
- Like Mass Effect, the choices you make will impact your every step of the way — hopefully, ending included.
- This game follows the smash hit Borderlands 2. Does this mean Handsome Jack will be around? Here, take a look…
- The game offers two different viewpoints: ambitious Hyperion rep Rhys, and chatter-boxing con artist Fiona. According to Telltales, “They both have a very different opinion of the events that brought them together, and the only way to find out something near to the truth is to live their lives and make your own decisions.”
- Just remember: If you previously played Borderlands pretty much just to shoot stuff, you might want to steer clear. If you enjoy kick ass Star Warsian-like characters, rich development and are open to a newer experience, then this will be a must-buy!
