The Arrowverse crossover has become a staple of the holiday season ever since the first one “Arrow vs Flash” in 2014. After dealing with threats like the Dominiators, Neo Nazis, and a Book of Destiny, the ultimate CW crossover has finally arrived. That’s right! Crisis On Infinite Earths is finally here after a year of build-up. Based on the classic DC Comics crossover by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, this 5-hour event will be spread over the many Arrowverse shows. Tonight kicked off the storyline on Supergirl and will continue tomorrow on Batwoman…

THE STORY
An antimatter wave has threatened to destroy all life in the Multiverse. A mysterious cosmic entity called The Monitor has gathered a group of the greatest superheroes across the universe to try and make a stand on Earth-38. Unfortunately, a sacrifice is made and it is only the beginning,
FAVORITE MOMENTS
1.) The opening montage of Earths destroyed by the ant-matter wave, This included appearances from Alexander Knox (from the 1989 Batman movie), Jason Todd and Hawk (from DC Universe’s Titans) and former Robin, Dick Grayson (from the 1966 Batman show).
2.) The introduction of Superman and Lois Lane’s son Jonathan.
3.) The destruction of Argo City (along with the death of Supergirl’s mother played by Smallville’ Lois Lane, Erica Durance).
4.) Oliver passing the torch to his daughter Mia.
MOMENT OF THE SHOW
The Death of Oliver Queen. Simply put, Stephen Amell is the “Robert Downey Jr.” of the Arrowverse. He is the well from which all these other shows have sprung. With the announcement of Arrow‘s final season, this grim outcome for the Emerald Archer was inevitable– and very well played.
After watching Part 1, it’s very clear that Crisis is meant to be the TV rival to this year’s biggest blockbuster film, Avengers: Endgame. My only gripe is that the story seemed rushed and had not time to breathe. Still, this show has so much fan service that I can’t wait to see what the other chapters have in store. Can’t wait. 4.5/5 Bibles.
