On Tuesday (9/2/2025), Marvel Animation unveiled the first full trailer for Marvel Zombies, the upcoming animated series set in an alternate MCU timeline. Fans first glimpsed this nightmarish universe in What If…?, where an unlikely group of survivors struggled against zombified Avengers. That story ended on a chilling cliffhanger with Zombie Thanos wielding nearly all of the Infinity Stones.
Now, Marvel Zombies expands that world with an all-new cast of fan-favorite heroes who haven’t always been in the spotlight during MCU Phases 5 and 6. The voice lineup includes Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, Dominique Thorne, and more.
The trailer confirms a bold creative choice: a hard TV-MA rating, breaking away from Marvel’s usual animation tone. It teases a bloody, gut-splattered ride, featuring zombified versions of classic heroes, a mysterious Blade/Moon Knight hybrid, and Spider-Man slicing through a horde of undead mid-swing. From the looks of it, the series is leaning into exactly what made the original comics such a cult hit—over-the-top gore wrapped in Marvel storytelling.
