E3ODUS [E3 2017 Preview]: FIFA 18.

FIFA 18 (EA Sports – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Switch, PC – September 29, 2017) – Football, Soccer, Futbol, Sakka or whatever you may call it. One thing is for sure it’s “The World’s Game” — precisely the tagline for this year’s FIFA game. Gracing the cover this year is none other than the 2-time FIFA Ballon d’Or Cristiano Ronaldo. In 2018 the A.I. adapts to your playstyle, erstwhile running on the Frostbite game engine seen in Battlefield 1 and Mass Effect: Andromeda.

EA Sports has also apparently removed the Xbox exclusive Legends to make ways for the multiplatform ICONS. The First Icon revealed is Ronaldo Nazario. The Brazilian International who took the world by storm in the Late 90’s early 2000’s. FIFA 18 will also be the first franchise entry to make way to the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the Switch version of FIFA 18 does not run on Frostbite, and–another major bummer–will not include the Journey. EA Sports has the habit of repackaging previous editions of the game whenever ported to a Nintendo console. That said, FIFA 18 will be available in 3 editions: Standard, Ronaldo (Deluxe), and Icon (Deluxe +), each jampacked with in-game bonuses to boost up everyone’s favorite mode, FIFA Ultimate Team, and a 3-day early access to the game.

EA Play takes place at The Hollywood Paladium from June 10-12, and will be showing live on EA.com.
