E3ODUS [E3 2017 Preview]: Super Mario Odyssey.

SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY (Nintendo – Switch – Q4 2017?) – With E3 just around the corner, gamers were treated to a new console. Nintendo drew first blood in the next console generation with the Nintendo Switch. Despite a limited game launch, one of the titles announced during their keynote was Super Mario Odyssey. For obvious reasons, it played smart to stick to their signature guy. That said, Nintendo is entering slightly unfamiliar territory with the open-world Odyssey. “Oh! A Grand Theft Mario without guns, hookers, or booze?” (Although having all three with Mario would make for a first ever official game with Ron Jeremy involved!).

With every console Nintendo produces, you should expect a good ole Mario platform game — even though, this time, the platform changes into the 3D world that should bring back the old vibes of Super Mario 64/Super Mario Galaxy. With the Unreal Engine 4 at use, expect to see Mario in exhilarating circumstances like flying level to level on Starship Mario, dancing around in the enchanted desert, and tossing his red newsboy around New Donk City. Don’t worry, he can acquire more at the Crazy Cap. Check Aryoksini’s YouTube stuff (“Mario is Unreal”), if you don’t believe me. So get ready this Christmas to join the Italian Plumber for another out of this world adventure. HERE WE GO!!!

Nintendo’s E3 briefing will go live on Tuesday, June 13th at 9am PST.
