GHOST OF TSUSHIMA (Sucker Punch/Sony Interactive – PS4 – TBA) – From the folks who brought you the Sony exclusive InFamous series comes Ghost of Tsushima, an open world Feudal Japan adventure. Perhaps more surprising than Sucker Punch’s departure from the high-rise flight of “God Mode” neon lights is Sony’s promise to focus their E3 presser efforts on four sole titles. Ghost of Tsushima is one of those four, so simply based on PlayStation’s exclusive track record, you know it’s gotta be fantastic.

Although Tom Cruise won’t be making an appearance (you can decide whether that is good or bad), the game’s protagonist is “The Last Samurai” of sorts — Jin’s one clear mission is pushing the invading Mongols off the coastal island of Tsushima. While we don’t know a whole lot, expect Sucker Punch to deliver a wondrous aesthetic to the bamboo-smothered mountainous terrain. So far, GoT (another GoT? Oh boy!) reminds me of a Japanese Witcher with 13th century Samurai culture and a far more stealth-driven focus. Jin can also channel his “inner Geralt” with supernatural fight tactics called Way of the Ghost. This all sounds amazing, right? 6pm on June 11th can’t come fast enough.
