Futurama is the series that wouldn’t take no for an answer. Like previous TinyCo subject Family Guy, it came back from cancellation, and it has a large and loyal fan base. Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is hoping to attract those loyal fans with a mobile game that brings together the writers and voice artists from the original series for a game that combines simulation, combat, exploration, and choose your own adventure gameplay.

In the game, the fabric of space-time has been torn apart by the Hypnotoads, and you, as Fry, have to search for ancient artifacts to restore the world (and universe) as we know it. Worlds of Tomorrow‘s initial gameplay is similar to those of other TinyCo games, but the addition of 8-bit combat play and choose your own adventure scenarios make it a whole new experience.

For those who wished that there were new episodes of Futurama to watch, the game may fill that void, as cut scenes and dialogue have been specifically created by the original writers, and new content, characters, and stories will be added weekly. While players have the option partake in in game purchases, the game is free to play and can be successfully — and satisfactorily — played without spending a penny. 3/5 Hypnotoads.

Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is available today in the App Store and Google Play.
