The conflict of anticipation…
The anticipation of everything coming together in a season finale can often become bittersweet. For as much as you enjoy the madness of it all, the end only means you’ll be forced to wait — all the many months — until said show returns. I now present to you, a perfect example.
The story of this season of Vikings has brought us to an overseas agreement between Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), and King Horik (Donald Logue) with KING ECBERT (LINUS ROACHE) to live in peace. Thus, Ecbert will compensate our Viking pals with land for their people to live and farm on, shifting a return home to Ragnar’s village to celebrate this new treaty and put all the blood shed behind them.
Happy days are not coming, friends. But please tell me you knew that.
There always has to be the one greedy asshole. In this particular, it’s Horik. And let’s be honest, has anyone trusted this guy the whole season?! The Divine one sure hasn’t. Horik hatches a plan for the wavering-in-loyalty Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) and power-hungry Siggy (Jessica Gilsig) to kill Ragnar’s son Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and his children, all so there is no bloodline of his left. The douche is certainly most here.
And so is the SPOILER zone–…
(Flip for more and Bible score!)
