E3 ’14 [Preview]: Playing…The Waiting Game.

MAD MAX

Unless you’re a 12-year old or have lived in a cave since 1979, you most likely know the who and what of Mad Max. For years this cult film has pleased countless fans. Then when an announcement about an open world game set in this post-apocalyptic landscape finally came to fruition at last year’s E3. Fans rejoiced about finally being able to take control of the almighty Mel Gibson while he whipped around the desert in his supped up Magnum Opus. Well guess what congregants, if you haven’t figured it out yet, this game has also been given the almighty DELAYED! You’re going to have to wait until sometime in 2015 to start crafting weapons, running things over and to just be a total bad-ass with an Australian accent (which was quickly added after many fan-cries following last June). Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. have not yet set an official date of release, only a new teaser trailer with the year 2015 stated as the release date.

Mad Max has been delayed until — only god knows when — in 2015.

HALO 5: Guardians

This one is all for the X1 owners out there. Halo had been one of the definitive series for the Xbox, dating back to the original game console. Many fans who purchased an X1 did so looking forward to this game above all others. Unfortunately and with a grave heart I must inform you that your beloved Master Chief will not be blasting away any covenant forces in your living room this year. Steve Downes, the voice of our favorite Halo…uh…Master, slipped up during an interview and released this little tidbit o’ information…

“I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5. I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2.”

Halo 5: Guardians isn’t really delayed because an official release date was never given, but you should have it sometime in 2015… Maybee.
