METAL GEAR SURVIVE (Konami – PS4, Xbox One, PC – TBA 2017) – Metal Gear. One of the greatest franchises in gaming history. Zombies. Everyone like killing zombies. Taking two of our favorite things and combining them into one game… Priceless??? Or maybe not. The upcoming Metal Gear game, minus one Hideo Kojima, is set to launch sometime this year. The game is called Metal Gear Survive, and takes place sometime after Ground Zeros in an alternate universe. I’m not sure about you congregant, but this sounds kind of shifty to me.
With a rumored price tag of $30-$40, this is obviously not going to be a full Metal Gear release. With The Phantom Pain only being a few years old, it is odd for another title to drop at all. While the game will most likely be a disappointment to fans of the franchise, I have a little hope left in my heart. I can see myself sneaking under cardboard boxes avoiding zombies, or slashing of their heads with a katana. Hopefully the full E-3 reveal will let us know more information and exactly what we can expect. Until then I’m still skeptical about this one.
